Bitlocker+Dualboot+USB-Stick

Hallo,
Folgendes Problem. Haben hier einne MSI GT70 Laptop.
Da 2mal Win7 Ultimate installiert.

Er hat folgende Ausstattung:
1. Raid 2*128GB SSD = 1*256GB Firmen-HDD mit Win7U
2. 1* 256GB SSD = PrivatHDD mit Win 7U
3. 1* 1TB partitioniert in 2*500GB einmal Firma einmal Privat

Der Kollege soll seinen Laptop Privat und beruflich nutzen. Daher die Bitlockerverschlüsselung.
Scheinbar hat der Laptop kein TPM.
Allerdings erkennt der Bitlocker beim Starten des Systems den auf dem USB Stick abgelegten Schlüssel nicht.
Ich habe erstmal nur die Privat HDD und Private Windows HDD verschlüsselt. Jedoch fragt er nach nem Schlüssel beim Booten. Diesen habe ich auf einem USB Stick. Leider erkennt er ihn nicht. Hab auch schon auf NTFS, FAT und FAT32 formatiert ohne Erfolg.
Momentan kommen wir nur ins Windows wenn wir den Wiederherstellungsschlüssel (ewig lang) eingeben.

Einer nen Rat?
Alternativ auch Passworteingabe möglich

Die GPO-Einstellung, die die Verwendung eines USB-Sticks für den Key zulässt, ist gesetzt?

Ich glaube nicht, dass man 2 Installation auf dem gleichen Gerät so mit Bitlocker verschlüsseln kann. Ich mag mich aber auch irren.

dass das mit dem Dualboot so funktioniert, würde ich ebenfalls bezweifeln. Gut möglich, dass das der Grund für Bitlocker ist, in den Recovery Mode zu wechseln.

 

Für solche Einsatzfälle wäre Windows to Go eine adäquate Lösung.

Mit fällt da nur noch eine Full Disk Encryption HDD ein. Dazu braucht  man aber  einen  NB, der die notwendige PIN-Abfrage unterstützt.

 

Allerdings dann privat- und  Firmendaten nicht  getrennt und es besteht eine erhöhte Gefahr der Infektion, etc.

 

Generell  tendiere ich zu 2 Geräten ;)

Da bei Bitlocker auf Partitionsebene verschlüsselt wird, ist es möglich, unterschiedliche Partitionen unterschiedlich zu verschlüsseln. Hier eine Anleitung zur Vorgehensweise bei zwei Windows-Installationen (in dem Beispie 1x Vista und 1x Win7):

To set up a dual boot computer with BitLocker protection

1. Install Windows Vista with the desired partition layout (such as a partition for Windows Vista, a partition for Windows 7, and a data partition). We recommend that you create a 1.5-GB partition that can be used by the BitLocker Drive Preparation Tool as the system partition or set a 1.5-GB partition as active following the steps listed in Scenario 1 of the Windows BitLocker Drive Encryption Step-by-Step Guide for Windows Vista.

2. Click Start, click Control Panel, click Security, and then click BitLocker Drive Encryption.

3. For the drive Windows Vista is installed on, click Turn On BitLocker, and follow the BitLocker setup process. You may need to run the BitLocker Drive Preparation Tool prior to beginning BitLocker setup.

4. After encryption has started, follow the same steps to begin the process of encrypting any data drives that you want to access in both Windows 7 and Windows Vista.

5. After all of the drives you want to encrypt are fully encrypted, click Start, click Control Panel, click Security, click BitLocker Drive Encryption, and then click Turn Off BitLocker on the drive Windows Vista is installed on.

6. On the dialog box that appears, click Disable BitLocker.

7. Install Windows 7 on a separate partition.

8. After the installation is complete, click Start, click Control Panel, click System and Security, and then click BitLocker Drive Encryption.

9. For the drive Windows 7 is installed on, click Turn On BitLocker, and follow the BitLocker setup process.

10. After encryption is complete, click Start, click Control Panel, click System and Security, and then click BitLocker Drive Encryption.

11. Click Manage BitLocker for the drive Windows Vista is installed on, and then click Automatically unlock on this computer. Repeat this step for any additional data drives.

12. Restart the computer. From the boot options menu, choose Windows Vista.

13. Click Start, click Control Panel, click Security, and click BitLocker Drive Encryption.

14. For the drive Windows Vista is installed on, click Turn On BitLocker.

Empfohlen wird das Setup nicht, aber technisch ist es machbar. Ich würde DIr auch Windows 8 empfehlen zu nutzen, weil es a) mit der Pro-Version geht und B) Du zum Entsperren auch ein Passwort nutzen kannst, ohne dass das Gerät einen TPM braucht.
