Connection issue to Exchange (remote connection to the Exchange server failed)

Hi!

 

We have issues to access the exchange management shell and ECP (receiving the following error).

We have already tried "winrm quickconfig", but the result is already configured!

Since installing the remote desktop roles, it has stopped working [not sure whether it is related to the issue or not]. 

 

Any help is appreciated :D

Why you have installed remote desktop role on an exchange server?

The idea was to have easier/faster access during the migration process.

As a local admin on a Windows server you can RDP into it without the RDSH role enabled. You just need to enable RDP inbound connections and the corresponding firewall exception.

 

RDSH role does way more than enabling RDP access so for an infrastructure server you would want to disable it before doing any further troubleshooting.

Thank you very much for the advice! I have now removed the Remote Desktop Services Roles. The error message remained unchanged after a restart.

just removing the role won‘t fix the error. Try the above how to.
