Ich hatte gestern bei silicon.de schon gelesen, das ein Patch wahrscheinlich mehrfach installiert werden muss, da es sonst zu schwierigkeiten kommen kann und das ist auch noch einer, der ein dickes Loch schließt!

Das ist wohl der Kernaspekt des WPA2 updates:

 

WPA2 support in wireless Group Policy settings

A computer that has the WPA2/WPS IE Update installed lets users manually configure options for WPA2 authentication and encryption. However, until the Wireless Client Update is installed, network administrators cannot centrally configure WPA2 options by using the Wireless Network (IEEE 802.11) Policies node of Computer Configuration Group Policy. Computers that have Windows XP Service Pack 2 and the Wireless Client Update installed can apply these configuration options when they configure the computers by using Computer Configuration Group Policy.

 

On a computer that is running Windows Vista or that is running Microsoft Windows Server Code Name "Longhorn," you can specify WPA2 options when you configure wireless networks by using the Wireless Network (IEEE 802.11) Policies node of Computer Configuration Group Policy.

Jetzt braucht man nur noch die ADM-Filesm oder was ? Die sind im Update nicht enthalten.

Ne, auf nem W2K3 Controller gibt es (schon länger) in der Computerkonfiguration zusätzlich noch einen Wireless Knoten, denn man konfiurieren kann - zu finden ist der aber nur über Verwaltung - Local Domain Policy oder die Default Policies.

 

Neu wird wohl die Unterstützung für WPA2 sein, da der geknackte RC4 Algorythmus voll durch AES ersetzt wurde - die Datenintegrität konnte ja schon bei WPA auf TKIP oder AES eingestellt werden.

Den WPA2-Client gibt es schon länger als Download. Wie gesagt, es davon eine neue Version.
