  1. MCSE/MCSA Upgrade auf 2008 Beta Prüfungen

    VUE had a problem with their 71-649 scoring (I obviously don't need to tell you that). What some of you have already heard is correct' date=' they plan to complete the scoring today, then it is up to 48 hours for them to publish their scores, then more time for that data to come back to us to update your transcripts. Please note that this is the PLAN. Actual timing we'll see, hopefully it will happen as planned. Know that it is being worked on, it is not just languishing somewhere. That's crap, I know, sorry.

     

    If service centers are telling you to talk to Microsoft, that is not the case. Your final scores originate with VUE or Prometric, they publish them or send them, and feed the data back to us where it will show up in your transcripts. Sometimes, they would point to MIcrosoft if we are the hold up in providing the scoring model, or if there is a problem with an individual result that we need to look at, etc. But as a rule, the exam delivery partner is where to go for beta results.

     

    i'm sorry you guys are getting the run around from our service centers, and the VUE and/or Prometric centers. There is a lot of back and forth between MSFT and VUE/Prometric for each beta, so on any given day it could be in our hands or theirs. It takes at least a few days for information from us (in headquarters) to disseminate out through many different companies in many different countries in different languages to reach the people answering your calls at the helpdesks, so an up to the day status on changing beta results is not realistic. What they should be clear on is the process, major issues (like this delay) and how to escalate for help. Or maybe we need to have a dedicated e-mail address for beta-related queries or something (besides mine...) that will work.

  2. OCS 2007 VoIP Gateways in der Schweiz?

    Ich beschäftige mich im Moment mit OCS 2007.

     

    Ich würde das ganze gerne mal an das richtige Telefonnetz hängen - aber ich finde niemanden der mir hier in der Schweiz Hardware dafür verkaufen will.

     

    Microsoft hat ein paar Hardware-Partner - Dialogic, AudioCodes etc.

    Von denen hat aber keinern gescheiten Vertrieb hier in der Schweiz.

     

    Was ich mir vorstelle (und komplett unrealistisch sein kann)

     

    Ein Gateway für 1 oder 2 BRAs, die in der Schweiz mit DDI funktionieren.

    Irgendein OCS Ready IP Phone (am liebsten so ein CX700 von hier (Polycom.com -Products - CX Product Family)

     

    Das ganze für irgendeinen vernünftigen Preis. 3000-5000CHF.

  16. Alter der MCSE Prüflinge ;-)?

    Alter: 23

    Zertifizierungen: MCSE, MCITP Exch 2007, plus IBM/HP quark (vorallem für Partnerprogramme)

    Ausbildung: Elektrotechniker ("Stromer")

     

    Prüfungen habe ich alle ohne Schulungen gemacht, dafür hab ich die Praxis.

     

    Nachtrag:

     

    Einer meiner Azubis hat, während ich den MCSE gemacht habe die nötigen Prüfungen zum MCSA gemacht.

     

    Die Prüfungsgebühren hat die Firma bezahlt, das bisschen Prüfungsvorbereitung das gemacht wurde war so 50/50 in Arbeits- und Freizeit unterteilt...

    da ich nicht so fit in englisch bin muss ichs wegen der prüfung aufbessern.

    weiss jemand wo ich eine gute englisch-deutsch mcse bibliothek finde

    und oder ein gutes englisch lernprogramm zu downloaden finde?

     

    Bei MSDN gibts schöne CSV-Files mit offiziellen Übersetzungen aller Wörter, angeeordnet nach Produkt. So ein ca. 70MB Zipfile - de_microsoft_translation_glossaries.zip.

  21. Änderung der MS Prüfungen ?

    Gibt es nun weniger Fragen und dafür praktische Übungen? Interessant für mich wäre die 270er, da ich mich zur Zeit im Endstadium für diese Prüfung befinde.

     

    Gleichviel Fragen aber DAZU noch praktische Übungen (genannt Simulationen). Mit letzerem als Suchbegriff solltest du hier auch gleich viel mehr dazu finden.

     

    Die 70-270 hat meines Wissens noch keine Simulationen, aber alle die zum "Core Track" des MCSE gehören haben welche: 70-290, 70-291, 70-293, 70-294.

     

    Keine Angst vor den Simulationen - sie sind nur nervig, nicht schwierig.

    Ich kann Gerhard nur zustimmen.

     

    Solange der Fokus primär auf Active Directory und Grundinfrastruktur liegt reicht auch eine wesentlich ältere Maschine.

     

    Spannend wird es wenn du anfängst dich mit SPS 3.0, MOSS 2007, Exchange 2007 mit UM, grösseren SQL-Server Anwendungen zu beschäftigen. Die laufen zwar auch auf langsameren Maschinen, aber gerade mit MOSS habe ich auf einem 2 Ghz Athlon und 2GB RAM die nerven verloren.
