max. RAM W2k3 R2

Hallo zusammen,

 

ich habe mir bei MS die W2k3 R2 Enterprise Edition heruntergeladen (als Trial) und nun installiert. Leider stelle ich fest, daß bei mir nur 4 GB RAM erkannt werden. Soll das so sein???

Nein, mit der EE geht bis zu 32GB dank PAE: Memory Support and Windows Operating Systems

 

However, Windows Server 2003, Enterprise Edition supports 32 GB of physical RAM and Windows Server 2003, Datacenter Edition supports 64 GB of physical RAM using the PAE feature.

Reicht das R2 dafür auch oder muss es die Enterprise sein?

Du benötigst ab 4 GB RAM zwingend die Enterprise Edition.

 

Zusätzlich benötigt die Boot.ini den Eintrag /PAE und sinnvollerweise /3GB

schade, aber mal sehen, im Sommer machen wir sowieso ein bischen was neu - vielleicht ist ja auch eine Enterprise Edition drin.
