Das Problem hat sich gelöst. :D Ich habe einfach den Server mal komplett heruntergefahren und ausgeschaltet. :wink2: Seit dem nächsten Hochfahren konnte ich die Wechselplatte wie gewohnt problemlos reinschieben und rausziehen. Ein einfacher Warmstart hatte nicht geholfen.

Ups! Hab total übersehen, dass es ein deutsches Board ist. :) Der SATA-Controller ist onboard auf einem Gigabyte GA-8I945G Pro, wird also durch die ICH7 Southbridge angeboten. Der Wechselrahmen ist ein IcyDock MB-123SK. Die Festplatten-Recovery-Software hieß HDD Regenerator. Mein erste Idee war auch das Neuinstallieren bzw. Aktualisieren der Chipsatztreiber für das Mainboard. Ich habe die neuesten Treiber heruntergeladen und installiert, aber das hat leider nicht geholfen.

Hi! I'm running a Windows Server 2003 with a removable hard disk bay with a S-ATA interface and used hot plugging with that bay for a long time without a problem. A few days ago I installed a software for hard disk recovery (not my topic here) and after that windows does not notice when I install a drive in the S-ATA bay anymore. I uninstalled the software immediately but it did not bring back the hot plugging ability of the S-ATA drive. Now I always need to reboot the server after installing the drive. The drive and bay are not broken because on a different computer hot plugging works perfectly. Does anyone know how I can reactivate the hot plugging feature in Windows?
