Here is the solution for the problem:

Electronics Workbench 5 doesn't start under Windows XP

Unable to write to EWB program directory

Please change the permissions of this directory.

Lösung:

Gehe in das EWB Installationsverzeichnis.

Rechts klick auf WEWB32.EXE -> Eigenschaften -> Kompatibilität

-> Programm im Kompatibilitätsmodus ausführen für : Windows 98 / Windows Me

-> Ok

starten des programms durch doppelklick auf WEWB32.EXE

Solution:

Go to the EWB installation directory

select WEWB32.EXE with the Right mouse button -> Properties -> compatibility

-> Start programm in compatibility mode for : Windows 98 / Windows Me

-> Ok

start the programm a double click on WEWB32.EXE
