bin ich einfach zu früh dran und der Support für den Server 2022 kommt in einem späteren Release der Apps for Enterprise / Business oder ist das (mal wieder) ein "was machen Sachen" Microsoft?

Based on feedback from customers, we are happy to share that we are updating our support policy for Microsoft 365 Apps on Windows Server 2022.  Support for on-premises and Azure deployments will be available through October 2026.  This covers the period in which Windows Server 2022 is in mainstream support. 

 

Support for running Microsoft 365 Apps on Windows Server 2022 is currently in preview.  If you want to begin testing on Windows Server 2022, we recommend that you use the most current, supported version of Microsoft 365 Apps available in Current Channel. We will provide information about which versions of Microsoft 365 Apps are supported on Windows Server 2022 at a later date. 

 

We will be updating our support pages and documentation in the coming days.

Bis Oktober 2026. Irgendwie sind alle irgendwie der Meinung, dass gleichbleibende Tools nicht mehr notwendig sind, weil ständig irgendwas geändert werden müsse. :/ Die sind doch alle "krank". :o

Hach ja, ich würde an dieser Stelle ja (weiterhin) den Azure Virtual Desktop auf Azure Stack HCI bevorzugen. Aber der ist immer noch in Preview (und im Multi-Tenant-Hosting nicht lizenzierbar / nicht vorgesehen). An eine wirkliche Langlebigkeit glaube ich aber auch da nicht.

The new support policy is that M365 is supported on Windows Server during its Mainstream support period. The Mainstream support period is the first 5-years and there are new LTSC releases of Windows Server every 2- 3 years.
