Hallo,
ich stehe vor folgender Problematik.
Für weitere Schulungszwecke versuche ich auf meinem Notebook unter VMWARE Server 2 Windows Server 2008 zu installieren.
Leider funktioniert dies nicht. Beim Versuch die Installation zu starten bekomme ich folgende Fehlermeldung:
Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or Software change might be the course. To fix the problem:
1. Insert your Windows Installations Disc and restart computer
2. Choose your language settings, and the click “next”
3. Click “Repair your computer

If you do not have this disc, contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer for assistance.

Info Attempting to load a 64 application, however this cpu is not compatible with 64 bit mode.
Ich habe bei mir Windows 7 Home Premium Systemtyp 64 bit .
Und kann mir jemand helfen.

Virtualisierungsextensions deiner CPU im BIOS aktiviert? VMware benötigt diese für 64bit VMs.

Ich habe ein Notebook von Dell. Ich habe dort nichts defunden. Das Notebook hat auch nicht das klassische BIOS sondern eins von Dell.

Ohne Virtualisierungsextensions gibts auch keine 64bit VMs. Ich würde mal die Dokumentation von Dell zu rate ziehen und falls das nicht hilft, deren Support.

mit vmware-guest64check oder dem Tool securable kannst Du schnell feststellen ob bei Deinem NB Hardwarevirtualisierung 64bit aktiv ist, wenn nicht BIOS durchflügen
